Ib Kofod-Larsen Rosewood Sideboard

$9,900.00

About the designer:

Architect Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921–2003) was a standout talent of the Danish Modern era, achieving major international success throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Unlike many of his colleagues, he designed extensively for global markets, which helped his work gain recognition abroad, far beyond Denmark.

While he worked slightly in the shadow of giants like Hans J. Wegner, Borge Mogensen, Arne Jacobsen and Finn Juhl, Kofod-Larsen’s refined craftsmanship and sculptural sensitivity have since earned him a reputation as one of the movement’s most underappreciated masters.

Today, he is celebrated as one of Denmark’s greatest design visionaries with a catalogue of truly awe-inspiring pieces in his wake.

About the piece:

Meticulously crafted in striking book-matched rosewood, this jaw-dropping sideboard offers four drawers above four cabinet doors, which each open to an oak interior with adjustable shelves and dedicated silverware drawers.
